Our saddle stitch book binding process is an ideal method and a popular choice for anyone wishing to produce items such as booklets, notebooks, workbooks, catalogs, promotional books, event programs, coloring books, and other publications where an inexpensive, yet professional look is desired. Many organizations have found saddle stitching to be perfect for hand-out materials used in workshops, seminars, tradeshows and other promotional events.

 

There are no stitches in saddle stitch binding. Rather, the books are designed in four page increments created from single sheets of paper, printed on both sides and then folded in half. Pages are then aligned, placed in page number order, folded, and then stapled on the fold.
 
Minimum and maximum page limits
The minimum number of pages for saddle stitch bound books is four, and the maximum number of pages is 60.

Preparing your files

We work exclusively with PDF files. You can convert your documents to PDFs using your own PDF converter either online or as a print driver on your own computer. When converting to PDF, please maintain the ìhighest resolutionî and make sure your fonts are embedded.

Booklet cover setup

Because the page count for a saddle stitch book must be in multiples of four, the first page in your book file should be your front cover, and the last page should be the outside back cover. The paper weight for a saddle stitch book cover is normally the same weight as the book pages and is called a "self-cover".
